Honorary Lifetime Membership cannot be purchased, all recipients are nominated by their peers and the SDFA Board ultimately determines their eligibility.  It is a Significant Honor awarded to members of the Fire Service found to have contributed to the betterment of the South Dakota Fire Service in a SIGNIFICANT way.
