If you are looking to renew your EXISTING Membership in the organization, renewal notices were sent in November. The two membership options for active Fire Departments are the 100% Department Membership and the Department Only Membership.
The Individual membership is NOT intended for Fire Departments, but rather intended primarily for individuals who may have retired from the Fire Service or active Firefighters whose Department does NOT purchase a Department membership. Its a great way to stay involved with the SDFA and support the betterment of the South Dakota Fire Service.
The Associate membership is intended primarily for Fire Service related businesses/vendors. Its a great way to stay involved with the SDFA and support the betterment of the South Dakota Fire Service.
Quick note: The 100% Department Membership is our most popular membership with 230+ departments in the State choosing this option due to the benefits provided to the Department members.
ALL SDFA Membership types are per Calendar Year, annual billing is typically sent beginning in mid-November for the upcoming year; allowing Departments/Agencies the flexibility to use funds from either their current year budget or waiting on payment until January 1st and using funds from the next years budget.
NOTE: In order to purchase the additional coverage insurance coverage available with a 100% Department Membership, your Department must pay their 100% Department Member SDFA Dues and payment to Fischer Rounds & Associates for the additional coverage must be POSTMARKED prior to January 15th
